About The Position

The Lead Application Systems Analyst supports IT Patient Systems. Works with little to no supervision, exercising appropriate judgment and operational considerations. Supports system applications, primarily Cadence. Exhibits expert knowledge and proficiency on overall software functionality and integration. Responsible for supervising and participating in the team’s work and distribution of responsibilities related to system build, testing, implementation support and maintenance of assigned Epic applications, ensuring that service level agreements and deadlines are met. Communicates team performance to upper management and provides feedback on team member evaluations. Performs in-depth analysis, trouble shooting, data collection, and root cause analysis and then identifies and/or implements potential solutions for issues related to the system or usage of it. Analyzes/reviews and tests each product release and communicates needed changes to operations. Must be able to document, follow and enforce change control procedures for the system. Drives and facilitates coordination of efforts required from analysts, system vendors and operations to ensure that system integrity is maintained and that IT deliverables meet operational business needs. Researches, analyzes, facilitates and implements business and system workflows in order to expedite process improvement and coordinate business practices. Identifies best practices and implements opportunities for standardization. Prepares activity and other reports as necessary. Attains necessary certifications, as applicable, in a timely manner according to policy. Provides On-Call support for application. As team leader, provides procedural and technical guidance and supervision to team members.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Clinical, Healthcare, Business, IT, or a related field plus four (4) years of IT experience or clinical experience, or any combination of the two, including one (1) year managing processes and/or applications, or Bachelor's degree in Clinical, Healthcare, Business, IT, or related field plus six (6) years of IT experience or clinical experience, or any combination of the two, including one (1) year managing processes and/or applications, or Associate degree in Clinical, Healthcare, Business, IT, or related field plus eight (8) years of IT experience or clinical experience, or any combination of the two, including one (1) year managing processes and/or applications, or High School diploma/GED plus ten (10) years of IT experience or clinical experience, or any combination of the two, including one (1) year managing processes and/or applications required.
  • Epic Cadence Certification.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain, test, and enhance applications and systems to support operational needs while ensuring system integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with users and stakeholders to evaluate business needs, define workflows, translate requirements into system solutions, and communicate system changes.
  • Troubleshoot complex application and system issues, identify root causes, recommend solutions, and coordinate timely resolution with users, IT teams, and vendors.
  • Lead and support application implementations, upgrades, testing, and other IT projects while managing project scope, timelines, documentation, and deliverables.
  • Promote application integration, data integrity, system security, and continuous process improvement across teams and operational areas.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, reports, testing plans, training materials, audit trails, and business continuity procedures.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to analysts, including workload coordination, coaching, performance feedback, and issue escalation.
  • Collaborate with leadership on project costs, estimates, budget information, and the evaluation of cost-effective technology solutions.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry, regulatory, and organizational requirements and ensure systems and processes remain compliant.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
