Requirements

• Completion of a Massage Therapy program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or a Diploma.
• Expertise in interpersonal and verbal presentation/written communication skills.
• Ability to provide effective direction and leadership and work effectively and collaboratively with others.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Massage Therapist.
• Prior postsecondary related teaching experience of at least 2 years.
• Must have an active license to practice Massage Therapy in the State of Virginia.

Nice To Haves

• An associate degree is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Massage Therapy program.
• Manage the department using sound business principles.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and company policies and procedures.
• Teach in the assigned discipline.
• Work with faculty to promote continuous improvement of the quality of instruction within the assigned program(s).
• Serve as the lead administrator for the department.
• Responsible for faculty training and development.
• Coordinate and administer the academic program(s) and student outcomes and activities within the department.
