About The Position

Westminster Communities of Florida is seeking a Director of Therapy to lead the daily administration, clinical planning, development, marketing, and operations of the rehabilitation program at Westminster Communities of Bradenton. The position manages and directs therapy staff in delivering services to patients and residents and ensures the department meets clinical, budgetary, utilization, and quality standards. This is a full-time position scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Westminster Communities of Bradenton is a Life Plan Community with Joint Commission accreditation and a waterfront setting near downtown Bradenton.

Requirements

Associate degree from an APTA- or AOTA-accredited program.
Current licensure by the Board of Allied Professions.
Three to five years of clinical experience.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech/Language Pathology, or another clinical professional service.
Licensed or eligible for licensure in states that regulate Physical Therapist Assistants or Occupational Therapy Assistants.
One to two years of supervisory experience with multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

Supervise staff, including interviewing and selection, training, motivation, wage and salary administration, performance appraisal, and management of policies and procedures to achieve department goals.
Lead strategic planning and department operations, implement cost-control measures, and meet budget goals.
Monitor Medicare criteria to ensure services qualify for charge-back and maintain correct billing practices to meet department profit-center goals.
Participate in community Care Plan, Quality Assurance, Risk, and Stand-up meetings.
Oversee treatment scheduling and maintain productivity requirements.
Audit and verify compliance of therapy documentation.
