About The Position

AHC Hospitality represents a diverse array of hotels, restaurants, and resorts, providing exceptional experiences that delight guests. This is a part-time position requiring weekend availability. The role involves providing consistent professional massage and body treatments, educating guests on wellness concerns, and promoting spa services and retail. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of massage modalities, a general understanding of body treatments, and be willing to train in specific offerings. Excellent communication skills and product/service knowledge are essential for providing effective wellness solutions. The position requires upholding sanitation standards, caring for equipment, and assisting in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.

Requirements

  • Must have a thorough knowledge of numerous massage modalities.
  • Possess a general understanding of body treatments.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to learn product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness solutions to meet the needs of our guests.
  • Must hold and maintain a current state certification/license.
  • Must hold personal insurance.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Completion of Massage Therapy program.
  • Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Desire to improve personal business within the spas.

Nice To Haves

  • Willing to train in our spas specific massage and body treatment offerings.
  • Schedule flexibility and willingness to work after hour appointments.
  • Able to train staff if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service.
  • Provide consistent professional massage and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
  • Effectively inform and educate our guests about specific wellness concerns.
  • Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the spa.
  • Actively promote the spas, treatments, services and retail through marketing and promotional events.
  • Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
  • Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered.
  • Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spas policies and procedures.
  • Perform prep work, properly clean and restock daily.
  • Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.
  • Handle guests questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
  • Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
  • Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa.
  • Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
  • Accept and perform up to 28 services per week.
  • Perform ALL daily duties.
  • Hold the highest level of professionalism with guests and co-workers.
  • Champion the requirements set forth by Marriott and Hilton for Spa and help others to achieve that standard.
  • Strive to excel in retail sales and guest retention.
