About The Position

At St. Croix Hospice, massage therapists provide therapeutic touch to bring relief and comfort to patients facing end-of-life challenges. Using specialized techniques and compassionate care, they help ease physical discomfort and foster calm and connection. The role combines clinical skills with meaningful patient interaction and autonomy in practice. The position is full-time and based in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, with 100% travel. The stated schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Massage Therapy program.
Current Massage Therapist License or Bodywork Therapist License in the states where practicing.
Valid state driver's license, automobile in good working order, automobile insurance meeting state and organizational requirements, and an acceptable driving record.
Ability to pass a background check, consumer report, and drug test.

Responsibilities

Provide massage therapy as directed by the Clinical Supervisor/Manager and in accordance with the plan of care; assess patients for appropriate medical indications and treatment effectiveness.
Administer therapeutic interventions, including Swedish Massage, Comfort Touch, energy work, and compressions, to alleviate anxiety, depression, pain, muscle tension, sleeplessness, and limited mobility, and to improve circulation, relaxation, and comfort.
Observe and report patient responses and changes in condition to the Clinical Supervisor/Manager and relevant staff.
Educate the clinical team about treatment appropriateness and contraindications.
Maintain clinical notes, charting, and coordination notes in patient records within 24–48 hours of sessions.
Participate in interdisciplinary education programs and quality improvement activities.
Ensure HIPAA compliance, maintain patient confidentiality, and use protected health information appropriately.
Perform other duties as assigned.
