About The Position
Massage therapists are responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, massage therapeutic intervention, reevaluation and education of patients who are referred by physicians or allied health practitioners for massage therapy. The massage therapist works closely with the patient, family and other members of a physician-led team in providing individualized patient care. Massage treatments may be provided in an outpatient clinical setting or in the hospital setting.

- Referral by physicians or allied health practitioners for massage therapy.
Responsibilities
- Evaluation of patients referred for massage therapy.
- Development of a plan of care for massage therapy.
- Implementation of massage therapeutic interventions.
- Reevaluation of patients receiving massage therapy.
- Education of patients regarding massage therapy.
- Collaboration with patients, families, and physician-led teams for individualized patient care.
- Provision of massage treatments in outpatient clinical settings.
- Provision of massage treatments in hospital settings.
