Grave Shift- Mash Line Laborer Heavy Packaging
About The Position
Responsible for the operation of putting the frozen mash bags into the case. Participate in all plant safety programs. Actively engaged in safety, participating in safety programs, engaged in safety activities, perform risk assessments and demonstrating ownership as well as leadership in personal safety and the safety of other team members. Know basic operation of Mash Packaging equipment and the ability to start, stop, and clear stoppages for the Robot, Wexxar Case Taper, & Wexxar Case Former. Know and follow lock out/tag out procedures for assigned area. Ensure that KDs are constantly supplied to the Wexxar Case Former. Perform sanitation activities for the assigned area. Follow good housekeeping practices and GMPs. Communicate with the Dry Supply Attendant for supplies needed in the area. Assist with hand palletizing when needed.
Requirements
- Must be sanitation qualified. If not, training will be provided.
- Must be Lock Out/Tag Out qualified. If not, training will be provided.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Lower extremity coordination is required if the employee has to walk or work in areas that are occasionally slick.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
