About The Position

The Packaging Department Worker performs packaging and labeling duties in a commercial bakery’s packaging department. Requirements

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment is preferred.
• Ability to work third shift and all three shifts, plus overtime as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Package and label finished baked goods according to customer specifications and bakery standards.
• Operate packaging equipment, including baggers, sealers, and labeling machines.
• Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet bakery standards.
• Monitor packaging equipment and make adjustments as needed to keep it running efficiently.
• Keep the packaging area clean and organized, including sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Packaging Department Supervisor.
