About The Position
Build a Career with Waste Connections Hidden Valley Transfer Station, a Waste Connections company, is seeking a dependable, safety-minded General Laborer to join our team in Puyallup, WA. This hands-on outdoor position plays an important role in keeping our facility operating safely and efficiently. You'll assist customers, direct traffic, keep the site clean, and help ensure a positive experience for everyone who visits our facility. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys helping people, and wants stable, long-term employment with opportunities for growth.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license required
- Good driving record required
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Pre-employment drug screening, including marijuana
- Criminal background check
- Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review

Responsibilities
- Direct customer and commercial vehicle traffic throughout the facility
- Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer questions regarding site operations and disposal areas
- Maintain safe traffic flow within the transfer station
- Pick up litter and perform general site cleanup
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility
- Identify and report safety concerns
- Operate company vehicles as authorized
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
