NOX METALSDetroit, MI

About The Position

Nox Metals is seeking a Marketing professional to own the entire brand and content engine. This role involves creating a wide range of content, including Reels, podcasts, long-form articles, newsletters, customer gifts, photography, and video, all centered around the narrative of American reindustrialization. The brand represents the company externally, and this position is responsible for building and shaping that perception. Nox Metals offers significant opportunities for long-term career growth, positioning itself as a place to build a career rather than just hold a job.

Requirements

  • 2 to 3+ years of experience in marketing, brand, content, or comparable production roles, preferably in technology, manufacturing, defense, or fast-moving consumer brands.
  • Proven ability to produce content independently: shoot, edit, write, design, and ship finished pieces.
  • Strong design sensibility and ability to maintain brand consistency.
  • Proficiency with content creation tools such as CapCut, Premiere, Adobe Suite, Figma, Notion, and modern AI tools.
  • Comfortable operating cameras and capturing high-quality visual content.
  • Strong narrative skills, with an understanding of the significance of American reindustrialization and defense manufacturing.
  • Experience collaborating with software teams, including writing specifications and filing tickets.
  • A builder mindset, prioritizing shipping functional versions over perfection.
  • High attention to quality across all content outputs.
  • A proactive approach to content improvement, challenging existing methods.
  • Customer obsession, with a focus on creating content that resonates with customers, recruits, and investors.
  • User obsession, demonstrated by understanding and highlighting the stories of sales, operations, and engineering teams.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • High sense of ownership for all brand-related responsibilities.
  • Reliability and precision under pressure, meeting content delivery commitments.
  • Organizational skills to manage a complex content calendar.
  • Commitment to safety protocols, especially when working on the factory floor.
  • High agency, capable of handling significant tasks independently and seeking help when necessary.
  • Low ego, willing to perform all necessary tasks, including less glamorous ones.
  • Willingness to work outside normal hours when required.
  • A proactive attitude, never refusing tasks outside of a narrow job description.

Nice To Haves

  • A portfolio showcasing personally produced content (reels, video, long-form writing, podcasts, design work).
  • Experience producing content for technology, defense, manufacturing, or hardware brands.
  • Hands-on experience with podcast production, audio editing, and distribution.
  • Experience designing and shipping customer gifts, swag, or branded hardware.
  • Strong photography and videography skills, including equipment and lighting expertise.
  • Experience with newsletter platforms (Beehiiv, Substack, Customer.io, or comparable).
  • Comfortable using AI tools to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Nox brand end to end, including voice, design language, narrative, and all public-facing materials.
  • Produce content independently, including shooting, editing, writing, and posting.
  • Manage social media presence across all relevant platforms (X, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).
  • Shoot and edit various video formats: Reels, shorts, long-form, behind-the-scenes, and customer-facing content.
  • Plan, record, produce, and distribute a company podcast.
  • Write and distribute a regular newsletter to customers, prospects, recruits, and the manufacturing community.
  • Create long-form content such as essays, technical posts, and manifestos.
  • Design and manage the production of customer gifts, including unboxing experiences and branded merchandise.
  • Oversee brand photography for the factory, team, and customers, ensuring all visuals align with the brand aesthetic.
  • Manage all design work, including decks, one-pagers, web assets, social media graphics, and print materials.
  • Build and manage the company website, including copy, design, updates, and conversion optimization.
  • Execute small, targeted paid campaigns where appropriate, focusing on owned content as the primary engine.
  • Capture all content as structured data, including performance metrics and feedback.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and engineering teams to identify and share company stories.
  • Consistently seek to improve all channels, content, and workflows.
  • Adhere to safety protocols while working on the factory floor.
  • Ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding and accuracy.
