Drive and influence the team towards results, brainstorming, coordinating, and collaborating frequently in order to bring to life Learning’s key elements of design and art direction. Empower the team to build strategically compelling and engaging work. Lead the successful creation and production of design solutions that move the Apple brand and the quality of the audience learning experience forward, following briefs and creative direction. Plan and direct all aspects of assigned projects, including resourcing and scheduling. Communicate optimally both up and down the organization in order to build trust and support (with content design, learning experience design, strategy and programming teams within Learning; with other creative and design teams within REM; and with partner orgs outside of REM including the wider Retail, People, Apple University teams and more). Guide the team towards excellent design in accordance with brand standard, project constraints and parameters. Responsible for persuasive creative presentations to executive staff members. Guide the team’s work towards the bigger picture goals, while still keeping a close eye on all of the important details. Multi-task and delegate design projects that require both conceptual and functional thinking. Use experience and intuition to help the team navigate ambiguity. Debate and prioritize input from different functional groups and executives. React quickly to new information, opinions, and direction to strategically pivot when necessary. Provide thoughtful guidance to the creative staff, with an eye on mentorship, career and team growth. Domestic and International Travel Required: 10%. 40 hours/week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Design, Graphic Design, or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • 4 years of experience with Teaching advanced visual design using Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Bridge), Sketch, Figma, Keynote, Pages, Numbers, Capture One, and Miro.
  • 4 years of experience Designing and producing physical collateral and merchandise for external and internal audiences.
  • 4 years of experience Utilizing knowledge of garments and fashion industries to support the creation of accessories and uniforms.
  • 4 years of experience Designing impactful and timeless brand identities with detailed guidelines for current and future use, ensuring brand consistency.
  • 4 years of experience Managing all aspects of photo and video shoots, including art direction, styling, shot lists, location scouting, casting, and post-production.
  • 4 years of experience Guiding animators with detailed briefs, vision, and storyboards, and ensuring their work meets creative and business goals through review and feedback.
  • 4 years of experience Managing project workflows, including file design in Adobe InDesign or Illustrator, coordinating with printers, selecting materials, optimizing costs, and reviewing proofs.
  • 4 years of experience Researching and designing for user interface and user experience using UX/UI design
