This role operates at the intersection of marketing and technology, ensuring that digital solutions align with business objectives and enhance marketing effectiveness. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical understanding of marketing platforms along with a deep knowledge of marketing strategies. This role involves technical aspects but operates from a business perspective. This individual will work closely with stakeholders, internal & external developers and is a key contact with other departments. The Marketing Technology Manager reports to Marketing Operations while working closely with Marketing Stakeholders, Engineering, Project Managers, Product Owners, Procurement, Legal and Security. This is a full-time in-office position working with our Marketing team out of our corporate headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah. The primary responsibility of this position is the continual monitoring, evaluation and optimization of the marketing technology stack. This entails regular review of technologies with product owners and the usage of those technologies. The Marketing Technology Administrator will provide opportunities for additional training, implementation, third-party assistance, adjustments or additions to the technology stack back to business leaders. Act as a bridge between marketing stakeholders and the technical teams, ensuring both sides are aligned on project goals and requirements. Gather input from marketers about needs and integrations, then translate those requirements into actionable tasks. Champion Data-Driven Decision Making: Establish clear success metrics tied to business impact. Use data, experimentation, and customer insights to guide product strategy and measure progress. Roadmap Ownership: Define the technical roadmap and backlog for tools. Vendor Management: Evaluate third-party software, lead "build vs. buy" decisions, and manage vendor relationships and costs. Coordinate with procurement, security, and legal to procure new tools and renew existing platforms. Cross-Functional Alignment: Translate business needs from Marketing into technical user stories. Determines how well the department can support its use, defines a high-level understanding of its lifecycle (product implementation, maintenance, and retirement), and a check for potential alternatives. Responsible for assessing the feasibility of significant functionality changes and requests from stakeholders to existing systems that are managed or shared by the Marketing Website Team. Responsible for working with various teams to establish, assign, maintain, and enforce ongoing and periodic audits. Help communicate prioritization and plans to address needs identified by the audits. Support the full product development lifecycle, including ideation, design, testing, documentation, and release activities. Turn product vision and direction from senior product leaders into clear business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria with guidance. Collaborate with engineering, UX, marketing, and other stakeholders to build simple, effective solutions to complex problems. Contribute to backlog refinement and prioritization while balancing stakeholder needs and product value. Help define user flows, support mockups, and ensure alignment across cross-functional teams.
