About The Position

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Marketing Manager to lead strategic marketing efforts across enterprise initiatives and thought leadership programs. This role is instrumental in shaping Vanguard’s B2C strategy for high-priority campaigns such as Expense Ratio Reduction and Investor Choice, while also architecting a department-wide thought leadership roadmap that amplifies Vanguard’s voice across Personal Investor, Advice, and Wealth Management audiences. You will collaborate cross-functionally with product teams, Brand, PR, Investor Research, Strategic Communications, and Business SMEs to uncover client needs and internal insights, translating them into compelling, outcome-driven campaigns. This role demands a visionary marketer with a proven ability to drive net-new strategy in complex, matrixed environments, and to influence senior stakeholders across the organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum eight years related work experience, three years of marketing experience.
  • Broad knowledge of Vanguard's investment product line-up and an understanding of the overall investment markets.
  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing or equivalent experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead enterprise-wide marketing strategies that align with business objectives, drive growth, and elevate Vanguard’s brand positioning.
  • Build and execute a scalable thought leadership strategy and content development ecosystem that positions Vanguard as a trusted authority across key client segments.
  • Partner with senior leaders, product marketing, communications, and business units to ensure enterprise initiatives are seamlessly integrated into broader marketing efforts.
  • Direct the organization to execute multi-channel campaigns (web, email, social, events, webinars) that deliver measurable impact and resonate with target audiences.
  • Leverage industry trends, competitive intelligence, and consumer insights to inform strategic planning and content development.
  • Develop and own a robust measurement framework to evaluate marketing effectiveness, track KPIs, and optimize performance.
  • Ensure all marketing activities meet compliance, legal, and audit standards, maintaining rigorous controls and governance.
  • Craft high-impact materials and presentations that articulate marketing strategy, performance, and value to senior stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
