About The Position

Bread For Life is a nonprofit organization, housed at The Classic Center, committed to empowering youth ages 16–21 through paid workforce training, mentorship, and career development. We believe in providing second chances, real-world job experience, and support that leads to lasting employment and personal growth. Every dollar raised helps us invest directly in the future of young people in our community. Bread For Life at The Classic Center is hiring a Sponsorship & Marketing Intern to support sponsorship development, marketing, and fundraising efforts, with an initial focus on the Bread for Life Golf Tournament. The Bread for Life Golf Tournament is a key fundraiser that supports our mission and this summer internship is a vital part of making it a success. This is a part-time internship for Summer 2026 (about 15 hours/week) with potential extension into Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 for the right fit. Academic credit is required for the selected intern (per school requirements).

Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate student in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable with social media and basic design tools (e.g., Canva; Adobe Creative Suite a plus)
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines
  • Self-motivated and collaborative; interest in nonprofit fundraising/event marketing
  • Access to a computer and reliable internet connection
  • Must be eligible to receive academic credit for Summer 2026 (and for Fall/Spring if extended), per school requirements
  • Selected candidate will have to successfully pass a drug screening and a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Create and update sponsorship outreach materials (packets, pitch decks, proposals, follow-ups)
  • Support sponsor pipeline tracking, acknowledgements, and benefit fulfillment
  • Maintain and organize sponsor/donor/prospect information
  • Research prospective business/community partners aligned with Bread for Life’s mission
  • Create marketing content for the golf tournament and other awareness/fundraising campaigns (social graphics, flyers, email content, digital ads)
  • Support consistent branding and storytelling that highlights program impact
  • Participate in team check-ins; take on expanded responsibilities if extended into Fall/Spring
