About The Position

The Marketing Specialist markets both new and renewal business by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Works with Account Managers and Producers to determine client quoting needs. Works with multiple insurance companies to obtain quotes for various lines of business. Submits detailed client information into the database to obtain accurate rates. Reviews quotes for endorsements, exclusions, and subjectivities. Reviews firm quotes for accuracy before sharing with the producer or client. Generates proposals for clients. Binds coverage once sold. Explains proposal information to the Account Manager and/or Producer, including carrier specifics related to the client’s overall needs. Works with carrier marketing representatives and underwriters to learn and understand appetite, new products, and latest offerings. Schedules and/or participates in periodic meetings with marketing representatives to stay informed on products being offered. Participates in webinars and learning opportunities related to system updates or product changes. Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2–4 years of independent agency experience in commercial lines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong time management skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Professional self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks with minimal guidance.
  • Deadline and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
