About The Position

Marketing Specialist (MS) will provide support to managers and executives by contributing to marketing campaigns and projects. They perform a variety of duties within SFA’s Development department, including creating social media campaigns, analyzing data, and event planning. MS will work in a variety of office settings and may travel occasionally.

Requirements

One (1) years experience in marketing and communications
Working knowledge of Social Media platforms
Experience with event planning
Ability to pass a drug screening and State of Alaska background check
Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills
Punctuality and consist reliability in reporting to work
Understanding of marketing and public communications
Basic computer skills and fluid use of electronic communication tools

Nice To Haves

Photography skills and experience
Proficient in Canva and/or other graphic design platforms
Comfortable with AI and newer technologies
Be a team player, demonstrating motivation, exercising discretion and dependability
Maintain confidentiality and treat everyone with dignity and respect

Responsibilities

Manage Set Free social media platforms
Create campaigns
Track analytics
Work with vendor to update Set Free Website to keep it current
Administrate Set Free mailing lists and marketing spreadsheets
Create press releases
Assist with the creation, setup, facilitation and completion of marketing events
Oversee the design and graphics of marketing materials
Conduct market research to better understand the marketing needs of the organization, staff holders and its target audience
