About The Position

Garney Construction is seeking a motivated professional to join their growing Marketing Team as a Marketing Specialist. This full-time, salaried position supports high-impact strategic pursuits by coordinating proposals, statements of qualifications (SOQs), interview materials, and other client-facing deliverables. The role involves collaborating with leadership and technical teams to create compelling, client-focused marketing content that supports pursuits and strengthens the Garney brand.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, strategic communications, journalism, or similar degree - Required
Minimum of five years of experience in marketing professional services in the A/E/C industry - Required
Proficient in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Required
Exceptional communication skills
Ambitious, creative, and a team player
Excellent judgment, and work accurately and efficiently with minimal guidance
Strong writing and editing skills
Active listener with a strong work ethic
Meet deadlines and have an acute attention to detail

Responsibilities

Lead development of qualifications and proposals
Support the development of capture planning, presentations, or client debriefings
Prepare and distribute marketing materials for potential clients
Support Marketing Team with administrative duties
Support Operations and Business Development with national trade organization events, initiatives, and administrative duties
Facilitate pursuit kickoff meetings, content development, review cycles, and final submission preparation
Create tailored project descriptions and staff resumes for use in pursuit materials
