About The Position

Marketing Specialist – Pursuits Location: Austin, TX Build Your Future with GBA At GBA, we’re more than engineers and consultants—we’re problem-solvers, collaborators, and storytellers who help bring complex ideas to life. Our marketing team plays a critical role in positioning the firm for success by supporting pursuits, strengthening our brand, and communicating the value of our work to clients and communities. We’re seeking a Marketing Specialist – Pursuits to support Texas business development and Texas pursuit efforts across the firm. This role is essential to creating high-quality, compelling proposals and marketing materials that help win work and elevate GBA’s brand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting marketing, proposals, or business development efforts.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to tone, clarity, grammar, and detail.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Familiarity with CRM systems; experience with Unanet preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders to improve quality and outcomes.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Support pursuit efforts by writing, editing, and customizing proposals, qualifications (RFQs), and interview materials.
  • Guide technical teams through the pursuit process, providing recommendations to strengthen messaging and improve win strategies.
  • Develop high-quality, visually compelling marketing deliverables for proposals, presentations, and campaigns.
  • Create impactful internal and external presentations for interviews, conferences, and leadership meetings.
  • Contribute to marketing collateral, including brochures, project profiles, resumes, and recruiting materials.
  • Write and maintain project descriptions and staff resumes, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Collect, organize, and manage project imagery and marketing data within CRM systems and shared drives.
  • Collaborate on trade show and conference planning, including promotional materials, signage, and logistics.
  • Support corporate communications initiatives, including social media, press releases, newsletters, web content, and client-facing communications.
  • Implement marketing strategies aligned with company goals and performance metrics.
  • Maintain and update marketing content, data, and tools to support business development efforts.
