About The Position

AllSci is an AI-native platform designed for discovering, exploring, and publishing scientific knowledge. We are seeking a tech-savvy, detail-oriented Marketing Specialist to support the growth and visibility of AllSci within the scientific and academic community. This role will support the execution of marketing and communications initiatives, including content creation, social media management, campaign coordination, and outreach to the academic and scientific publishing community. The ideal candidate has direct experience working within an academic journal, scholarly publishing house, or research communications environment, and is comfortable leveraging AI tools to streamline content production and marketing workflows. We're looking for a motivated, organized marketer who is eager to grow within a fast-paced startup environment, understands the norms and language of academic/scientific publishing, and is excited to use AI-driven tools to scale content and outreach efforts.

Requirements

1-3 years of marketing, communications, or related experience, ideally within an academic journal, scholarly publishing house, or scientific/research organization
Comfortable and curious using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, AI writing/design assistants) to support content creation and marketing efficiency
Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with an ability to translate scientific/academic concepts into engaging content
Working knowledge of social media platforms and basic content management systems (CMS)
Familiarity with marketing or analytics platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp, Google Analytics) a plus
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Interest in scientific publishing, research communication, or academia strongly preferred
Available to work full time in person at the North Bethesda office

Responsibilities

Use AI-powered content tools to draft, edit, and optimize marketing copy, newsletters, and social posts
Implement and maintain marketing automation workflows, including email sequences and audience segmentation
Monitor and report on performance metrics using analytics and dashboard tools
Apply SEO best practices for website and content optimization
Execute marketing plans aligned to AllSci's growth objectives
Write, edit, and distribute emails, newsletters, articles, blog posts, and social media content
Manage AllSci's website and social media accounts and other owned distribution channels
Build and maintain content calendars and campaign timelines across channels
Compile qualitative and quantitative reports on distribution, engagement, and campaign performance
Lead outreach to the academic and scientific publishing community, including researchers, journals, and industry contacts
Coordinate AllSci's presence at relevant academic and industry conferences and events
Maintain relationships with media, influencers, and academic partners
Coordinate with vendors and agencies as needed
