About The Position

GTE Financial is seeking a highly organized, creative writer/editor to join their team as a Marketing Specialist. This role will serve as a lead and administrator for marketing Salesforce content, responsible for establishing positioning, identifying target audiences, and developing marketing and communication plans aligned with organizational goals to support diverse business lines. The ideal candidate will be proficient in planning, managing, and crafting compelling content for various marketing channels and assets, including CRM, digital, outdoor, print, video, and broadcast. This individual will proactively research and recommend marketing initiatives to capitalize on market opportunities, considering competitive activity. The Specialist will collaborate regularly with leadership, credit union business units, and third-party vendors to ensure accuracy, timely delivery, relevance, and effectiveness. The role requires a flexible leader proficient in crafting compliant and compelling messaging across multiple business lines, products, and services, while being adaptable to changes and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in Salesforce CRM as a system administrator and content lead within Marketing is essential. Responsibilities include developing key performance indicators, reporting on results, optimizing assets, maintaining resources for employee understanding of marketing initiatives, and supporting tickets to ensure a positive member experience. The Specialist will become a subject matter expert to articulate and "sell" marketing and content based on target audience, channel, and objective. They will manage communications and projects autonomously, working with various stakeholders to optimize delivery, content, and experience. The role involves developing and disseminating marketing and content across traditional, video, digital, and CRM formats, including planning and coordinating shoots, storyboarding, script writing, and leading onsite direction and production. Support will be provided for the development and creation of campaigns, promotions, events, and workshops, ensuring organizational readiness, goal setting, and evaluation. Digital deliverables will be managed in collaboration with business lines, maintaining web and digital assets through a content management system or vendor. Gathering member and market insights to inform strategies, increase conversions, and generate leads is crucial. The role also supports the execution and implementation of new products and product enhancements. Operational support includes managing and maintaining communication assets, ensuring content is audited, up-to-date, branded correctly, and includes necessary compliance language. Project management best practices will be utilized, owning projects from start to finish. A functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and other Federal laws is required.

Requirements

  • Salesforce experience is preferred.
  • Ability to research and compile information for the purpose of recommending marketing and communication opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to effectively communicate with Executive Management Team, management, staff, and outside contacts.
  • Excellent writer able to develop effective content quickly and accurately.
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member, while using discretion in decision making and sound judgment in problem solving.
  • Ability to present a professional image when dealing with members, co-workers, management, and outside contacts.
  • Ability to change within working responsibilities, be it internal, market or regulatory driven.
  • Proficient PC skills, with the ability to learn new software.
  • Additional hours as necessary to accomplish objectives, goals and other duties as assigned.
  • Undergraduate degree required.
  • Min 1-2 years of experience in marketing.

  • Functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to: U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.

  • Understand key business metrics and organizational goals from a strategic and tactical perspective.
  • Demonstrate a functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and other Federal laws.
