About The Position

Gescan, a proud member of the Sonepar Group, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Marketing Specialist with a passion for creating impactful experiences. This role is crucial for planning and executing corporate events, trade shows, customer activations, charity fundraising events, and internal initiatives. The Marketing Specialist will collaborate closely with sales teams and supplier partners to ensure events align with business objectives and are executed to the highest standard. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and is committed to delivering exceptional experiences from concept to completion.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in event marketing with a degree or diploma in event planning, marketing, or a related field
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with event platforms is an asset
  • Passion for delivering exceptional experiences that reflect brand values
  • Highly organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented with strong attention to detail
  • Collaborative team player with a customer-first mindset and ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Experience with event platforms is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute a portfolio of events by organizing all aspects from conception to completion, including defining goals, timelines, budgets, logistics, and post-event evaluation
  • Manage event registration platforms and attendee communications
  • Collaborate with supplier partners on sponsorships, participation, and co-branded activations
  • Develop and execute event marketing plans, including promotional campaigns and content (invitations, signage, post-event communications)
  • Manage event budgets and ensure cost-effective execution
  • Measure event success through attendance, engagement, and sales impact, and provide insights and recommendations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and event partners
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the attendee experience and improve event processes
  • Stay current on industry trends and bring forward new experiential ideas
