About The Position

Alaska Airlines is seeking a student intern to support social media and marketing projects during summer 2027. The 12-week, full-time internship is based in SeaTac, Washington, and interns who do not already live in the internship city must relocate for the duration. The program offers hands-on experience, networking and intern programming, and unlimited standby travel benefits. The role is intended to provide skill development and work experience; it does not guarantee future employment.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, with at least one semester or quarter remaining after the internship.
• Must have achieved junior or higher academic standing at the time of application.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and factors that drive content performance.
• Excellent writing skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines and work occasional evenings or weekends for events as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

• Interest in sports, entertainment, or event marketing.
• Basic graphic design or video editing skills using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or CapCut.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to comments, direct messages, and mentions across social platforms using the Alaska Airlines brand voice.
• Create social content, including copy, graphics, and short-form video; help manage the social calendar, scheduling, and publishing across channels.
• Support sports and entertainment partnership and sponsorship activations, including planning, asset coordination, on-site logistics, event setup, content capture, and partner coordination.
• Assist with general team needs and ad hoc marketing projects as assigned.
