About The Position

Peachford Hospital, the gold standard for behavioral health treatment in Atlanta, is searching for an experienced Business Development/Marketing & Sales Rep for our 246-bed private psychiatric facility. This role assists the Director of Business Development in developing and implementing a strategic plan to promote the services offered at Peachford Hospital (inpatient & outpatient) through in-person visits (outside sales) to all potential referral sources. The primary activities are targeted to the assigned territory, with other duties as assigned by the Department Director. The role serves as the Clinical Community Coordinator by identifying new opportunities and providing engaging educational presentations to drive referrals. It also provides Continuing Education Program opportunities and hospital tours through lunch and learns and meetings to support the assigned territory and other territories as needed. The position works closely with the Admissions Department to follow up on referrals and pending admissions and effectively collaborates with other Hospital Department Heads in the development, education, and implementation of the Hospital’s Strategic Marketing Plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral health area, marketing/communications, business administration or clinical field
  • 2-5 years of experience in a clinical behavioral health related field OR 3 plus years of experience in healthcare outside sales with measurable business development results.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Knowledge of behavioral health field, including familiarity with services provided to mental health, substance abuse and developmentally disabled population
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management in prioritizing workload, problem solving and crisis management skills
  • Excellent knowledge with using electronic systems to develop and maintain referral source data bases
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Effective Educational, Group Leadership and Public Speaking skills
  • Skills in interpreting and applying standards and regulations applicable to programs and services
  • Basic fiscal management skills
  • Ability to use good judgment and to maintain confidentiality of information

Nice To Haves

  • Behavioral Health Hospital experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
