About The Position

The Marketing Proposal Manager is responsible for leading the development, coordination, and submission of compelling marketing proposals that support the organization's business growth and client objectives. The ideal candidate is adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously, working under tight deadlines, and adapting content to suit diverse client needs. This role collaborates closely with subject matter experts to ensure proposals are tailored, persuasive, and align with the company's brand and strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in proposal management, marketing, or business development, preferably within the AEC industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and winning complex, high-value proposals.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, persuasive, and client-focused content.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, InDesign, and Photoshop.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior executives.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and consistency.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively to tailor proposals for maximum impact.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with CRM and content management systems, specifically Deltek.
  • Understanding of marketing best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire proposal lifecycle, from initial opportunity assessment to final delivery, ensuring all deadlines are met and submissions are of the highest quality.
  • Conduct thorough research on prospective clients and industry trends to inform proposal strategy and content development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input, develop win strategies, and ensure proposals meet client requirements and deadlines.
  • Lead proposal kickoff meetings, assign roles and responsibilities, and maintain clear communication throughout the proposal lifecycle.
  • Develop customized content, executive summaries, and value propositions tailored to prospective clients and specific opportunities.
  • Edit and proofread proposal documents for clarity, accuracy, and consistency with brand messaging and visual standards.
  • Track proposal metrics, analyze win/loss data, and recommend process improvements to increase proposal success rates.
  • Develop and implement standardized processes and best practices for proposal management, including timelines, review cycles, and approval workflows.
  • Coordinate with graphic designers and marketing teams to produce visually engaging proposals and presentations that reflect the company's brand identity.
  • Facilitate post-submission debriefs to gather feedback, document lessons learned, and continuously improve proposal effectiveness.
  • Train and mentor team members on proposal writing techniques, compliance requirements, and persuasive communication strategies.
  • Ensure all proposal materials comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
