About The Position

You enjoy working with content—asking good questions, organizing complex ideas, and shaping information so it’s clear, persuasive, and easy to navigate. You understand the value of thoughtful content that reflects how a brand delivers to its clients. As a Proposal Assistant, you will support marketing professionals as they partner with technical teams to position the firm to win work and strengthen Olsson’s brand with public and private agencies. You will contribute to marketing efforts across water, transportation, community infrastructure, and private development , translating technical knowledge into proposal, qualification, and positioning materials that align with client expectations and firm standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Writing/Journalism, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships or coursework considered)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to contribute to and thrive within a collaborative team environment
  • Effective time management and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe InDesign, along with a willingness to learn new software
  • A self-motivated mindset with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strengths in writing and editing

Responsibilities

  • Support development of marketing content for Statement of Qualifications (SOQs), proposals, interview presentations, and award submissions, following firm standards and brand guidelines.
  • Communicate proactively and meet deadlines for the timely completion of project pursuits and proposals.
  • Assist with procurement research, review, and coordination, and/or facilitation of client engagement activities, conferences, and client events.
  • Conduct quality and compliance reviews; edit marketing content for accuracy, clarity, tone, and consistency.
  • Gather, verify, organize, and maintain marketing information systems, including client files, resumes, project descriptions, and contact lists.
  • Enter and maintain pursuit and opportunity data in Deltek Vantagepoint, ensuring records are complete, current, and aligned with firm standards.
