NineTwoThree AI Studio is a remote-first product design, engineering, and marketing studio founded in 2012 and based in Boston. They build AI-powered web and mobile apps for major brands and startups. The Marketing Operations Manager will serve as the operational backbone of the marketing team, managing project boards, production calendars, cross-team handoffs, email programs, reporting, and the overall operational rhythm. This role involves orchestrating marketing initiatives rather than direct creative or technical execution, with a strong emphasis on systems, checklists, automated workflows, and email marketing expertise.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in marketing operations, email marketing, lifecycle marketing, or project coordination within a marketing team.
  • Deep, daily-use expertise in HubSpot and email marketing, including building and running email programs, lists, segmentation, workflows, lifecycle stages, A/B tests, deliverability, suppression rules, and reporting.
  • Genuine fluency with at least one workflow automation tool: AirOps, Zapier, Make, n8n, or HubSpot workflows.
  • Curiosity about Claude, Claude MCPs, and AI-powered automation is required.
  • Genuinely fluent in Monday.com and Notion, including building templates, automations, dashboards, and rollups.
  • Comfortable publishing blog posts, case studies, and copy/asset updates within the Webflow CMS.
  • Strong project management instinct, thinking in checklists, dependencies, and due dates.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Calm under pressure, able to triage and ship when multiple items are due.
  • Self-driven and proactive, identifying and addressing issues before they escalate.
  • Comfortable nudging people for status updates and holding them accountable kindly.
  • Operator mindset, taking pride in well-run systems and invisible processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in English.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Operations, or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience inside an agency or studio environment.
  • HubSpot certifications (Marketing Hub, Email Marketing, Marketing Software).
  • Hands-on experience with Claude, Claude MCPs, or other LLM-driven automation.
  • Experience with podcast or video production workflows (Descript, Riverside, etc.).
  • SEO operational support (publishing optimized posts, internal linking, redirects).
  • Experience managing freelancers and external vendors.
  • Light HTML/CSS for QA of developer-built pages.
  • Working knowledge of Figma for reviewing designs and QAing deliverables.
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics / DataBox for maintaining dashboards and pulling reports.
  • Basic Ahrefs / SurferSEO for pulling reports and supporting SEO execution.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain marketing project boards in Monday.com and Notion, including building templates with cascading dates for recurring projects and keeping statuses current.
  • Run the weekly marketing review, chase blockers, and ensure every piece of work has a clear owner, due date, and next step.
  • Own the email program in HubSpot, including building and sending newsletters, nurture sequences, and lifecycle automations.
  • Architect the email segmentation strategy, build clean lists, manage suppressions, run A/B tests, monitor deliverability, and tune open and click rates.
  • Book and coordinate developer, designer, and QA hours for website production, managing the queue and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Run production workflows for content across blog, email, podcast, YouTube, social, and gated assets, ensuring smooth handoffs between teams.
  • Build and run workflow automations using tools like AirOps, Claude, Claude MCPs, Zapier, and HubSpot workflows to reduce repetitive work.
  • Manage the website production pipeline, including coordinating new landing pages, blog posts, case studies, and page updates.
  • Publish straightforward CMS items in Webflow and QA work handed off by developers.
  • Maintain the marketing tech stack, ensuring tools like HubSpot, Webflow, Monday, Notion, and analytics are connected and functioning.
  • Own reporting by keeping dashboards in DataBox, HubSpot, and Google Analytics current and trustworthy, pulling weekly metrics, and surfacing issues proactively.
  • Run the operational rhythm, including weekly status updates, monthly tech stack and process audits, and quarterly reviews of templates and workflows.
