About The Position

Reotemp Instruments is seeking a Marketing & Operations Coordinator for their San Diego office. This role is crucial for the marketing team, which focuses on simplifying complex information for customers. The team is responsible for content creation, digital presence, event management, and developing tools to attract and retain customers. The ideal candidate will contribute to the company's mission of ensuring safer and more reliable industrial operations by providing customers with the right instruments quickly and efficiently. This position is approximately 75% execution-focused on daily marketing operations and 25% focused on independent initiatives, including identifying growth opportunities and shaping the team's future direction. The company values candidates who are organized, curious, clear communicators, and proficient with AI tools, regardless of their specific prior job titles.

Requirements

  • Some experience in a marketing, operations, or coordination role is helpful.
  • Organization: Ability to manage one's own work without dropping things and build checklists.
  • LLM fluency: Regular use of AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini to solve problems.
  • Clear writing: Ability to make technical information understandable.
  • Eye for design: Ability to discern and explain effective layouts.
  • Curiosity about business: Willingness to ask 'why' and propose ideas proactively.
  • Comfort around technical people: Ability to work closely with engineers, product managers, and salespeople.

  • Canva or Figma proficiency as a starting point for design work.

Responsibilities

  • Tradeshow coordination (4 to 5 per year): logistics, checklists, booth setup, collateral, and post-show follow-up.
  • Website B2B merchandizing: product pages, photos, datasheets, drawings, and video.
  • Email automation: building and maintaining campaigns in platforms like Mailchimp.
  • Marketing file library: keeping source files, brand assets, and literature organized and version-controlled.
  • Product literature production: datasheets, catalogs, packaging, and instructions using Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Sales enablement: turning customer feedback and technical detail into collateral that helps reps close.
