About The Position

Vessel is reinventing the apartment building by integrating design, engineering, technology, and advanced manufacturing to create a new generation of housing. Their first product, Calypso, aims to make extraordinary homes attainable for working people. Backed by institutional partners like Lennar, Vessel is expanding its reach and seeking talented individuals to join their mission. This role is central to the New York office, supporting the Chief of Staff and senior leadership in various capacities, including marketing, social content, team operations, onboarding, and company events. The position requires a proactive individual who can identify needs and execute tasks, offering a unique opportunity to observe and participate in key business functions for someone early in their career. As capabilities are demonstrated, responsibilities can expand rapidly.

Requirements

  • Exceptional organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proactive approach; ability to identify and act on needs without explicit direction.
  • Resourcefulness and ability to figure things out independently.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Fluency in social media platforms like LinkedIn and Instagram, with an instinct for compelling content.
  • Creativity with an eye for good ideas, design, and storytelling.
  • Low ego; willingness to handle both high-level and routine tasks.
  • Curiosity and ambition to learn quickly and take on responsibility.
  • A desire to do meaningful work and care about details and people.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Approximately 1 to 2 years of experience, or an exceptional recent graduate with demonstrated initiative through internships, extracurriculars, or personal projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support marketing efforts across social media, company communications, presentations, events, and content creation to tell the Vessel story.
  • Manage the day-to-day experience of the New York headquarters, including welcoming visitors, coordinating meetings and team lunches, and managing supplies.
  • Ensure the office environment reflects the company's standards.
  • Assist new employees with onboarding, including system access and logistics.
  • Handle administrative needs across the organization.
  • Proactively identify and solve problems, such as meeting preparation, delivery issues, or office equipment malfunctions.
  • Take ownership of projects and initiatives that arise in a growing company.
