About The Position

The Marketing & Media Specialist plays a key role in supporting Okuma’s growing marketing needs by developing high-quality digital and multimedia content. As the company expands into new divisions, including Factory Automation and the Global Repair Center, this role will help ensure timely, impactful marketing assets that strengthen brand presence, support sales efforts, and enhance customer engagement. This position is critical in bringing creative capabilities in-house to improve speed to market, reduce reliance on third-party vendors, and deliver compelling content across digital platforms. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience working with web content management systems is a plus
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and content strategy
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, organize work, effectively handle multiple projects with track record of successful project completion, and work positively under pressure.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage a range of responsibilities and competing priorities while working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Superb time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet regular and frequent deadlines
  • Computer proficiency to include intermediate Microsoft Excel, Word, Office skills, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proven experience in multimedia content creation and graphic design
  • Proficiency in video editing, design tools, and digital content platforms
  • Familiarity with AI-based content tools is preferred
  • Familiarity with social media platforms
  • Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as exceptional listening skills
  • Exceptional ability to speak and write effectively in a business environment
  • Exceptional ability to ask necessary questions
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Responsibilities

  • Design and produce high-quality multimedia assets to support marketing initiatives, including: Video creation, editing, and production, Digital ads, banners, and campaign content, Podcasts and audio content, AI-generated content and asset management, Other creative media as needed
  • Assist with content development and ongoing maintenance of web properties, including: Okuma.com, MyOkuma.com, Customer and distributor portals
  • Create and manage digital assets to support new and existing online experiences
  • Support the development of marketing content across multiple channels, including: Email campaigns, Social media content, Blog articles and written content, Limited print materials (e.g., flyers, ads)
  • Develop training and educational videos for customers and distributors
  • Create media assets to support new digital platforms and portals
  • Create marketing materials that support talent attraction and promote Okuma in the community, including recruiting content, employer branding assets, and outreach-related materials
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support evolving marketing and business initiatives
  • Adheres to all company employment policies and safe practices
  • Performs other duties as assigned and explores opportunities to add value
