About The Position

As the Marketing Measurement Intern on the Integrated Marketing Measurement team, you will support enterprise-level marketing reporting and analysis that informs senior leadership decision-making. You will assist with the development of dashboards, performance analyses, and insights that translate complex marketing and business data into clear, actionable takeaways. This internship provides hands-on exposure to real enterprise marketing data and analytics workflows, with mentorship from experienced analysts and managers. In this role, you will gain insights into how we approach many challenges associated with being one of the nation’s leading retailers. This internship also will give you the opportunity to develop industry-related skills in a professional environment, network with Best Buy employees and explore a wide variety of career paths. This internship will be available from June to August 2026. It is a hybrid, meaning you must be located within a drivable distance to our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You will be asked to come into the office 3 days per week. Internal Best Buy employees: a limited number of company-sponsored summer housing slots are available near corporate headquarters for hybrid/in-person roles for current Best Buy employees.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing an associate or bachelor’s from an accredited college or university, graduating Fall 2026­­ or Spring 2029
  • Must be able to work in the Richfield, MN corporate office 3 days a week, Tuesday through Thursday.
  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00am-5pm (Central Time Zone)
  • Must be able to commit to the internship start and end date of 6/1/2026- 8/7/2026
  • Must be able to commit to being no more than 2 hours driving distance from the Minneapolis Corporate Campus - 7601 Penn Ave South Richfield, MN 55423
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc., will not be considered)
  • Strong interest in marketing analytics, insights, or performance measurement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts) and PowerPoint (data visualizations and storytelling).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain data clearly.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, analytics, business, statistics, economics or related field
  • Coursework or experience in marketing analytics, business intelligence, or performance measurement
  • Experience working with dashboards or data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Familiarity with marketing performance concepts such as traffic, conversion or media metrics.
  • Exposure to SQL, Python or statistical tool is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and delivery of marketing performance reporting, incorporating media, traffic, and sales data to understand marketing effectiveness.
  • Assist with data analysis to uncover trends, drivers of performance, and emerging insights.
  • Help translate complex datasets into clear visuals and summaries to support team initiatives.
  • Contribute to the building and maintenance of Excel-based dashboard and reporting tools.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Media Strategy, Performance Marketing, DIO, Finance, Data Science) to support data requests and business questions.
  • Participate in ad-hoc analyses related to planning, forecasting, and performance optimization.
