IT’S AMAZING WHAT CAN HAPPEN WHEN YOU START COMPLETELY FRESH! We’re looking for a curious, digitally native intern to support our Digital and Social team. This role is ideal for someone who lives online, understands internet culture, and is eager to learn how a modern brand shows up in social, creator, and community spaces. As a Digital and Social Media Intern, you’ll help monitor and analyze social conversation around the Freshpet brand, track competitive activity, support creator partnerships, and assist with performance reporting. You’ll gain hands-on experience working with a fast-moving, culturally relevant brand while learning how social strategy, creators, and analytics come together.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Advertising, or a related field.
Strong interest in social media, digital culture, and creator marketing.
Familiarity with major social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X.
Comfortable analyzing social content and performance data, with strong attention to detail.
Clear written communication skills and the ability to articulate feedback constructively.
Highly organized, curious, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Nice To Haves

Previous internship or campus experience in social, media, or marketing is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

Monitor daily social conversation across platforms to identify trends, opportunities, and emerging themes related to Freshpet and the category.
Track and summarize competitive social activity, including content trends, creator partnerships, and campaign moments.
Support the vetting and research of creators by reviewing profiles, content quality, audience fit, and brand alignment.
Provide thoughtful feedback on creator content to help ensure it aligns with Freshpet’s voice, values, and campaign goals.
Assist with reporting on social and creator performance metrics, including engagement, reach, sentiment, and basic KPIs.
Help organize insights and learnings into clear, easy-to-digest summaries for the broader team.
Stay plugged into social and cultural trends, flagging moments that could be relevant to Freshpet.
Collaborate closely with team members across social, creators, and digital to support ongoing initiatives.
