About The Position
Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a Marketing Intern to join our growing team. This position is located on-site in Sedro-Woolley, Washington State. POSITION DESCRIPTION Interns are college students who work for Janicki to obtain work experience in varying disciplines. They work during a college break, e.g. summer break for a duration of 10-12 weeks (minimum commitment of 10 weeks). We are seeking an enthusiastic Marketing Intern to join our team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain firsthand experience in marketing operations and insight into Janicki. The Marketing Intern will support the Marketing team in maintaining and promoting Janicki’s brand identity across the organization. This role offers hands-on experience in marketing communication, content creation, event coordination, and brand management within a dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, and eager to learn how marketing supports both internal communication and external branding efforts. The Marketing Intern will collaborate with teams throughout the company to help develop materials, manage media content, and assist in organizing company and marketing events.
Requirements
- Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).
- Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed.
- Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
- Studying toward a degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or related field
- Must have strong customer service skills and the ability to multi-task
- Must be able to work well independently and under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
- Must possess effective oral and written communication skills in the English language
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining and distributing up-to-date marketing materials across the organization
- Partner with departments to support updates and creation of marketing collateral such as brochures, PowerPoint presentations, and advertisements
- Help maintain company website content and assist with social media updates
- Support efforts to ensure company information and branding are consistent across all platforms
- Assist with planning, coordination, and implementation of marketing and employee events such as tradeshows and company celebrations
- Support creation and editing of internal communications, including the quarterly employee newsletter
- Help maintain inventory of promotional materials for new hires, tradeshows, and special events
- Capture and organize company photography of projects, events, and facilities; assist with editing and cataloging images for marketing use
- Assist with facility signage, displays, and branding projects
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Being at work on time and maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of your job
