About The Position

Sync is seeking a marketing leader who is results-oriented and possesses a deep understanding of digital marketing. This role is for someone who prioritizes measurable results like conversion rate lifts over superficial engagement. You will be responsible for auditing and improving existing marketing programs, focusing on data-driven optimization rather than radical changes. The ideal candidate is hands-on, willing to engage in the details of campaign execution, from writing copy to optimizing ad bids, while also being capable of strategic planning and team leadership. A strong understanding of marketing analytics, including data interpretation and attribution modeling, is crucial. You will own the full acquisition funnel, manage significant paid media budgets, build high-converting landing pages, lead CRO initiatives, and drive email marketing efforts. Additionally, you will lead and develop a marketing team, collaborate with cross-functional departments, and leverage data to inform all marketing decisions.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years in digital marketing
  • At least 2 years managing paid acquisition
  • SaaS experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with B2B, B2C, or prosumer marketing
  • Strong writing skills for headlines, ad copy, landing page copy, and email subject lines
  • Performance-obsessed mindset, focusing on ROAS, CPA, conversion rate, and MRR impact
  • Technically capable in HubSpot for landing page building, GTM for conversion tracking, and GA4 for reporting
  • Analytically rigorous, with the ability to segment data by geo, device, audience, creative, and time period
  • Opinionated but adaptable, willing to test opinions and change based on data
  • Organized with the ability to manage multiple campaigns across multiple channels
  • Curious and proactive in learning about marketing trends, competitors, and new platforms

  • Experience with end-to-end encrypted cloud storage or privacy-first products.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full acquisition journey from first click to paid conversion, including paid search, paid social, SEO, email, landing pages, and CRO.
  • Manage significant paid acquisition budgets across multiple markets (US, Canada, international) using Google Ads, Meta, and Bing, optimizing weekly based on ROAS, CPA, and LTV.
  • Build high-converting landing pages by focusing on hierarchy, messaging, offers, and urgency, including writing copy, briefing design, and building in a CMS (HubSpot).
  • Run the CRO program by maintaining a backlog of hypotheses, prioritizing by impact, and continuously running A/B tests.
  • Drive email and lifecycle marketing efforts, including nurture sequences, onboarding flows, re-engagement campaigns, and upgrade nudges.
  • Lead and develop a Marketing Coordinator and grow the team over time, setting clear expectations and holding individuals accountable.
  • Own marketing data, including GA4, HubSpot reporting, ad platform analytics, and attribution modeling, extracting insights and troubleshooting performance issues.
  • Collaborate closely with product, sales, and customer success to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with business goals and drive growth.
