At Sound, we believe inspiration beats convention, and that the best founders aren’t just solving problems; they’re rewriting the rules. For the last 15 years, we've invested thematically in category-defining companies at the forefront of major technology platform shifts. We seek out founders with relentless ambition and bold ideas, backing them before the rest of the world sees what's coming. Our portfolio includes early investments in Affirm, Airbnb, Airtable, Anthropic, Duolingo, EquipmentShare, GitLab, OpenAI, SentinelOne, and Uber, among others. Sound Ventures is led by General Partners Effie Epstein and Guy Oseary and manages $2B+ across a series of funds. The Role We're looking for a Marketing Manager who thrives on variety. This is a role for someone who loves solving different marketing challenges every day rather than specializing in a single function. This isn't a role where you'll own one channel or one vertical. Instead, you'll work across nearly every aspect of marketing – helping build the Sound brand, supporting our portfolio companies, and partnering on incubation projects as new companies come to life. One day you might be planning a founder dinner, building a presentation, or preparing for a conference. The next, you could be conducting a brand audit on a prospective investment, helping shape messaging for a portfolio company, or developing positioning for an incubated startup. We're a lean team, so everyone wears multiple hats. The right person is excited to flex different marketing muscles – from brand, product, and event marketing to communications, storytelling, operations, and creative strategy – and is equally comfortable thinking strategically and jumping in to execute.
