About The Position

Legible is seeking a highly driven, high-agency marketing generalist to help build a category-defining company. This is the first full-time marketing hire and offers a unique opportunity to shape the company's brand and growth from a validated foundation. The role involves working directly with founders and the GTM team to create leverage across the business through sales enablement, brand building, event execution, lead generation, founder marketing, customer storytelling, and community presence. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating with ambiguity and limited resources, and will be instrumental in evolving marketing from ad hoc efforts into a repeatable, scalable engine. This role offers significant autonomy and the chance to make a visible impact on company growth.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of experience in marketing, growth, demand generation, field marketing, startup GTM, or related roles
  • Extremely high ownership and bias toward action
  • Strong point of view combined with collaborative instincts
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and limited resources
  • Equally comfortable thinking strategically and executing tactically
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without losing attention to detail
  • Professional and composed in live event settings
  • Energized by startups, momentum, and building from zero

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow the social presence of company leadership, particularly on LinkedIn
  • Help establish Legible as a trusted and visible brand within the Government Affairs and lobbying ecosystem
  • Create and distribute compelling thought leadership content
  • Develop customer stories, testimonials, and case studies
  • Create sales collateral and supporting GTM assets
  • Partner closely with the CEO, AE, and SDR to create leverage for the sales organization
  • Support outbound campaigns and follow-up sequences
  • Build and manage email marketing campaigns
  • Coordinate conferences, trade shows, webinars, and industry events
  • Represent the company professionally in live environments
  • Help create community engagement opportunities within our market
  • Ensure Legible has a polished and credible presence across all external touchpoints
  • Own ongoing website updates and optimization
  • Help shape messaging, positioning, and go-to-market communication
  • Identify creative ways to increase awareness and engagement within a highly targeted market
