About The Position

The Marketing Manager – Innovation will lead and own the strategy for a three-year pipeline of innovation for the Frito Lay portfolio. A change leader and influencer, this person will build a strategic vision, set the agenda, have oversight of the innovation launch calendar and lead best in class cross functional alignment. Additionally, this individual will play a critical role in delivering our SDD agenda by leading the strategy, development and marketing commercialization of Reframe and Breakthrough innovation, with the support of one direct report. This position reports to the Marketing Director of Innovation and Away from Home for PepsiCo Foods Canada.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 8+ years of experience in strategic marketing roles
  • Minimum 5 years of CPG marketing experience with proven leadership success
  • Demonstrated ability to win through superior consumer/shopper-based marketing
  • Proven results in managing multi-brand portfolios
  • Strong influencing and networking skills across internal and external stakeholders
  • Comfort operating with high autonomy while driving cross-functional collaboration
  • Expert in simplifying complexity no matter the level of ambiguity, including the development of strategies that are executable by cross functional partners
  • Proven ability to lead, coach & develop talent across levels and capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy and execution for three-year pipeline of innovation for Frito Lay through the IGC process, aligned with key business targets and brand/portfolio strategies
  • Oversee innovation launch calendar and ensure support and alignment from cross functional partners including National, regional, channel and customer specific innovations
  • Collaborate with key business partners including Brand Marketing, Insights, Commercialization, Finance, Supply Chain, R&D and Sales
  • Lead strategy of Breakthrough and Reframe innovation launches to capture incremental whitespace opportunities and support overall delivery of SDD objectives; support Direct Report through marketing commercialization of strategic projects
  • Lead quarterly post gaming of innovation pipeline, highlighting performance, key learnings, implications and actions to the Foods Senior Leadership team
  • Coach, motivate and develop 1 direct report to achieve portfolio objectives and deliver growth aspirations
