About The Position

The Marketing Manager, Community & Events supports the planning and execution of integrated marketing initiatives that strengthen PCMA member engagement, increase participation in community and industry programs, and contribute to event registration and membership growth. Partnering closely with the Global Community and Events Marketing Manager, this role has day-to-day marketing responsibility for a portfolio of PCMA member programs, events and the PCMA Foundation. The Manager translates program priorities into coordinated campaigns and communications across email, web, social, content, community, and partner channels. The Marketing Manager also supports marketing for PCMA’s marquee events and membership acquisition initiatives, working across Marketing, Community, Events, Membership, and Foundation teams. This role is ideal for a hands-on marketer who is highly organized, audience-focused, and skilled at managing multiple campaigns and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Five years of experience in integrated marketing, event marketing, membership marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Experience executing multi-channel marketing campaigns and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to develop clear, audience-focused marketing communications.
  • Working knowledge of email marketing, websites/CMS platforms, CRM or marketing automation systems, social media, and digital campaign practices.
  • Comfort working with marketing analytics and using performance data to improve campaign execution.
  • Strong project management, organizational, attention-to-detail, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using AI-enabled marketing tools to improve marketing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Willingness to travel as business needs require.

Responsibilities

  • Support integrated marketing plans for assigned community programs and experiences, including CEMA Field Events, the PCMA Foundation, and Business Events Industry Week (BEIW).
  • Coordinate audience segmentation, campaign scheduling, creative requests, web updates, and channel execution for assigned programs.
  • Ensure marketing activities are delivered on schedule, aligned with PCMA brand standards, and coordinated with broader organizational priorities.
  • Execute multi-channel marketing campaigns across email, website, social media, community, content, partner, and other relevant channels.
  • Develop and coordinate campaign briefs, email copy, web copy, promotional messaging, creative requests, and supporting assets in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Maintain campaign calendars, project plans, deadlines, approvals, and asset requirements across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Conduct quality assurance on marketing communications, links, audience selections, registration information, and campaign assets before deployment.
  • Support integrated marketing campaigns for PCMA’s marquee events, including campaign execution, audience communications, promotional assets, and registration-driving initiatives.
  • Support membership acquisition campaigns that convert qualified prospects into PCMA members, including lead-nurture communications, benefit messaging, promotional campaigns, and event-to-membership conversion opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-promote membership, community programs, Foundation initiatives, Field Events, BEIW, and marquee events across relevant audience touchpoints.
  • Support on-site marketing and member engagement activities at assigned PCMA events as needed.
  • Execute targeted communications that support audience acquisition, engagement, conversion, retention, and advocacy.
  • Help develop communication journeys for members, prospects, event participants, donors, and community audiences across the lifecycle.
  • Use audience data and engagement insights to support segmentation, personalization, testing, and campaign optimization.
  • Coordinate with Community and Membership teams to ensure marketing communications reinforce the value of ongoing PCMA participation.
  • Serve as the day-to-day marketing contact for assigned programs while partnering closely with the Global Community and Events Marketing Manager on strategy, priorities, and campaign direction.
  • Collaborate with Digital Experience and MarTech teams on landing pages, forms, email deployment, audience data, tracking, and digital journeys.
  • Partner with Content and Social Media teams to extend program stories and promotional messages across PCMA channels.
  • Coordinate with Business Development to support sponsor and partner visibility associated with Foundation, BEIW, Field Events, and other assigned initiatives.
  • Build productive working relationships across Membership, Community, Events, Foundation, Institute, Regions, and other PCMA teams.
  • Monitor campaign performance, email engagement, registrations, conversions, and other relevant KPIs for assigned initiatives.
  • Partner with Marketing Intelligence to access reporting and translate performance data into actionable campaign improvements.
  • Conduct post-campaign and post-event reviews to capture learnings, identify best practices, and improve future execution.
  • Support testing and optimization of subject lines, messaging, calls to action, audience segments, creative, and channel mix.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Global Community and Events Marketing Manager and Marketing leadership.
  • Represent PCMA professionally with members, customers, partners, sponsors, donors, and industry stakeholders.
  • Participate in organizational initiatives and cross-functional projects that support PCMA’s strategic priorities.
  • Travel to assigned events as needed to support marketing execution and on-site promotional activities.
