Marketing Liaison
About The Position
The Marketing Liaison at Encompass Health helps drive patient growth through referrals, cultivating strong referral relationships within a geographic territory. The role combines professional growth with community connection and supports the organization’s business goals by identifying opportunities and promoting hospital programs and services. The Marketing Liaison reviews medical conditions and pre-screens referrals from hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, homes, and assisted living facilities. The position uses the Referral Development System (RDS), call plans, and market analysis to develop territory strategies, identify business opportunities, and help position the hospital in the marketplace. It also involves educating community members, referral sources, and physicians, and responding to and overcoming admission barriers while following up on admission variables.
Requirements
- Current driver’s license in the employed state and an acceptable driving record as specified by company policy.
- CPR certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience.
- Experience as a clinician or technician.
- At least 1 year of experience as a nurse liaison or successful sales experience in a healthcare environment.
- Familiarity with acute hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, and the local healthcare market.
Responsibilities
- Review medical conditions and pre-screen referrals from hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, homes, and assisted living facilities.
- Develop call plans and strategies to drive volume using the Referral Development System (RDS).
- Use market analysis data within the assigned territory to identify new business opportunities.
- Educate the community, referral sources, and physicians about hospital programs and services.
- Identify development opportunities to position the hospital strategically in the marketplace.
- Respond to and overcome admission barriers and follow up on admission variables.
