About The Position

Copperweld is seeking a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented Marketing Intern to support our Marketing team while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing and industrial environment. This position will provide exposure to a broad range of marketing functions, including content creation, digital marketing, market research, competitive analysis, social media management, website analytics, and campaign execution. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, highly organized, proficient with Microsoft Office applications, and capable of managing multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail and delivering high-quality work.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Digital Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field preferred.
  • Must be able to commit to at least one academic semester of employment in a part-time capacity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, including the ability to organize, analyze, and summarize data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook is required, including calendar management, scheduling, and professional business communication.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinking with an interest in marketing, branding, and customer engagement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative, professionalism, and willingness to learn.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools is preferred.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, website analytics, and digital marketing concepts is a plus.
  • Previous internship, co-op, leadership, or work experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
  • Assist with content creation for social media, website updates, email communications, presentations, and marketing collateral.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, customer insights, and growth opportunities.
  • Assist with website content updates and performance tracking.
  • Support social media planning, content scheduling, and engagement monitoring.
  • Help collect and analyze marketing data, campaign performance metrics, and website analytics.
  • Assist in the development of sales and product support materials, including presentations, brochures, and customer-facing content.
  • Support trade show preparation, customer events, and promotional activities.
  • Assist with maintaining brand standards across marketing materials and communications.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and other marketing-related documentation.
  • Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
