About The Position

This internship at MainStreet Bank offers a unique opportunity to be fully integrated into a high-performing, cross-functional Marketing team. Interns will gain a comprehensive understanding of modern brand operations, contributing to tasks ranging from high-level brand strategy to the technical execution of multi-channel campaigns. This is not a typical internship, providing a hands-on experience within the financial marketing sector.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior at an accredited four-year college or university
  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a closely related field
  • Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and basic marketing tools (Adobe Suite, various Social platforms)
  • Ability to work on-site at our Fairfax, VA Headquarters
  • A proactive "can-do" attitude and a genuine curiosity about finance and marketing

Responsibilities

  • Assist in analyzing customer journeys and touchpoints to help improve the overall banking experience (Customer Experience - CX)
  • Assist video production with drafting scripts, coordinating on-set logistics, and supporting post-production for video projects and the signature podcast, "The Grit of Growth"
  • Ensure brand consistency across various platforms and help develop creative collateral that resonates with the community (Brand Marketing)
  • Help manage the content calendar, draft engaging posts, and monitor community interaction across LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram (Social Media)
  • Assist in the launch and management of integrated marketing campaigns, tracking performance metrics across email, web, and traditional media (Multi-channel Campaigns)
  • Work with various marketing partners including sales teams, compliance, and external vendors (Collaboration)
