About The Position

The Marketing Intern will support the overall marketing strategy and fan engagement efforts for three Attain Sports organizations: the Chesapeake Baysox (Double-A Affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles), Frederick Keys (High-A of the Baltimore Orioles), and Aberdeen IronBirds (MLB Draft League Team). This role will focus on research-driven marketing initiatives, brand development, and enhancing the fan experience from a digital and in-game perspective. Working closely with the Marketing Manager and cross-departmental teams, the Marketing Intern will assist in identifying best practices, executing campaigns, and supporting both digital and in-person fan touchpoints. This position offers hands-on experience across multiple areas of sports marketing while working with three professional baseball organizations.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Sports Management, or related field
  • Strong writing and communication skills with an understanding of persuasive and brand-aligned messaging
  • Interest in digital marketing, branding, and fan engagement strategies
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on industry best practices across branding, social media, email marketing, and public relations
  • Analyze trends in sports and entertainment marketing to support campaign development
  • Provide recommendations to improve fan engagement, brand consistency, and campaign performanc
  • Research and engage with Facebook Groups and community platforms to expand audience reach
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to enhance the fan journey from a digital perspective
  • Support social media and email initiatives with insights on content trends and engagement strategies
  • Assist in planning and executing VIP and premium fan experiences on game days
  • Support in-ballpark activations that connect digital campaigns to live experiences
  • Help ensure a seamless and engaging experience for fans attending game
  • Assist in marketing and promotional efforts for team merchandise across digital channels
  • Research trends and best practices in sports merchandising and retail marketing
  • Support campaign ideas that drive merchandise sales and brand awareness
  • Work with marketing, sales, and promotions teams to align messaging and initiatives
  • Assist with promotional calendar planning and campaign execution
  • Support various marketing projects as needed in a fast-paced environment
