About The Position

The Marketing Intern will collaborate with and support The Beaufort Bonnet Company’s Marketing team by creating engaging social media content that brings the brand to life. The internship focuses particularly on Instagram Reels and other short-form video content, and offers hands-on experience in social media marketing, content creation, brand storytelling, and photo shoot support. The intern can contribute ideas, strengthen creative skills, and learn how a growing lifestyle brand connects with its audience across digital platforms.

This is a paid, part-time internship with flexible start and end dates. It is an in-person position based at the company’s corporate office in Lexington, Kentucky.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Advertising, or a related field.
• Experience creating short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, or similar platforms through school, work, or personal projects.
• Comfort filming and editing Reels and bringing creative ideas to life.
• Keep up with social media trends and understand what makes content engaging.
• Strong eye for visual storytelling and brand consistency.
• Enjoy working on multiple creative projects at once.
• Communicate well and enjoy collaborating with others.
• Take initiative, bring fresh ideas, and be eager to learn.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with video-editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, or similar programs.
• A portfolio or examples of social media content are strongly encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging short-form video content, with a strong focus on Instagram Reels.
• Assist with brainstorming, planning, filming, and editing social content that reflects the TBBC brand.
• Identify social media trends and recommend creative ways to adapt them for the brand and its audience.
• Help develop content concepts highlighting products, seasonal launches, events, and behind-the-scenes moments.
• Write or assist with captions and other supporting social media copy.
• Participate in content planning sessions and collaborate with the Marketing and Creative teams.
• Help organize content assets and maintain the social media content calendar.
• Track social media performance and help identify which content resonates most with the audience.
• Contribute to photo shoot strategy by brainstorming creative concepts and researching inspiration that support seasonal storytelling.
• Assist with photo shoot preparation, including sourcing and organizing props, preparing materials, and coordinating supplies and logistics.
• Provide on-set photo support by organizing props, assisting with setup and transitions, and filming behind-the-scenes content.
• Support additional day-to-day marketing projects and initiatives as needed.
