Marketing Intern

Hydro-ThermalWaukesha, WI
Onsite

About The Position

Hydro-Thermal Corporation, based in Waukesha, Wisconsin, is a growing and reputable manufacturer of engineered direct steam injection heating solutions serving process industries such as pulp and paper, petrochemical, food and beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical and wastewater treatment. At Hydro-Thermal Corporation, we believe that our employees are an integral part of our success. We are always looking for individuals that are team players, enjoy problem solving, continuous improvement and have the desire to learn and grow. We enjoy mentoring individuals and forging long lasting relationships. We are seeking a motivated, creative, and detail-oriented Marketing Intern to join our team for Summer 2026. This hands-on role is designed for a college Junior or Senior who wants real-world experience across digital content, AI-powered video production, event marketing, and marketing analytics. You will work directly with our marketing team to support live campaigns, contribute to a major trade show, and help us measure what is working. The ideal candidate is curious, organized, comfortable with new tools (including AI), and excited to ship work that ships.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of major social media platforms from a marketing perspective — not just personal use.
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace, especially PowerPoint/Slides and Excel/Sheets.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • A self-starter who is comfortable asking questions, taking feedback, and learning new tools quickly.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with AI content tools (video, image, copy, voice).
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Looker Studio, or similar analytics platforms.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere), or CapCut.
  • Prior internship, campus organization, club leadership, or freelance marketing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, drafting, and scheduling content for our LinkedIn channel.
  • Help build and maintain a monthly LinkedIn content calendar in coordination with the marketing team.
  • Engage with our community by monitoring comments, messages, and mentions and flagging items that need attention.
  • Research industry trends, competitor activity, and B2B LinkedIn best practices to inform fresh content ideas.
  • Produce short-form marketing videos using HeyGen for internal videos.
  • Assist with editing, captioning, and formatting video content for different platform specs.
  • Refresh and clean up existing PowerPoint and Google Slides decks — fixing layout, typography, imagery, and brand consistency for sales, leadership, and customer-facing presentations.
  • Build new slide templates and reusable visual assets that align with brand guidelines.
  • Help coordinate booth graphics, signage, printed collateral, giveaways, and digital displays — working with internal designers and outside vendors as needed.
  • Assist with logistics: shipping schedules, asset checklists, vendor communications, attendee lists, and on-site setup/breakdown coordination.
  • Pull and organize data from Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and LinkedIn analytics into clean weekly and monthly reports.
  • Track web traffic, campaign performance, social engagement, email metrics, and event-related KPIs.
  • Highlight trends, surface insights, and suggest opportunities to improve performance based on the data.

Benefits

  • Real ownership of projects that ship to real audiences — not coffee runs and busywork.
  • Direct experience with modern AI marketing tools that the industry is still figuring out.
  • Trade show and event experience that very few interns get exposure to.
  • A practical foundation in marketing analytics and KPI reporting.
  • Mentorship from our marketing team and visibility across the broader business.
  • Portfolio-worthy work samples to take into your final year and job search.
