About The Position

Goodwill is seeking a purpose-driven, results-oriented Marketing Intern to support the Marketing and Community Engagement team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing, digital advertising, content creation, audience engagement, and campaign performance tracking. In this role, you will help develop and implement targeted advertising and communications strategies that support Goodwill's mission, including retail promotions, donation drives, community programs, and awareness initiatives. Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in nonprofit work, community engagement, and social impact marketing.
  • Familiarity with advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, or similar tools.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, data visualization tools, or campaign reporting platforms preferred.
  • Graphic design or content creation experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Comfortable working with data and measuring campaign performance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with a variety of marketing, communications, and community engagement projects.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create, plan, place, and monitor digital advertising campaigns across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Create content, newsletters, and other marketing collateral using Canva and related tools.
  • Support messaging that aligns with broader communications efforts, including mission stories, donation opportunities, retail initiatives, and community programs.
  • Assist with market research, audience segmentation, and targeting for key audiences, including donors, shoppers, job seekers, and community partners.
  • Track and evaluate campaign performance using key performance indicators such as click-through rates, cost per conversion, engagement, and donation impact.
  • Conduct A/B testing on ad creative, messaging, and placement strategies to support continuous improvement.
  • Assist with community events, awareness events, and promotional activities.
  • Support donor data management, archival projects, and other administrative initiatives as needed.
