About The Position

The Marketing Intern position will report to the Sr. Manager, Marketing Communications and support digital ad creation, social media, communications, and event execution. This unique role blends digital creativity with "boots-on-the-ground" community engagement. The ideal candidate will support the development of digital advertising and social media content while simultaneously serving as a brand ambassador at local events and Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs). You will gain hands-on experience in executing comprehensive marketing strategies, managing local partnerships, and driving brand awareness through both digital channels and face-to-face community interaction.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Marketing or a related field) or recent graduate.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required to attend events and meet community needs
  • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and social media platforms.
  • Ability to learn new systems, tools, and platforms quickly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently with the public at community events.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating social posts and interacting with community leaders.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Ability to follow structured processes while also adapting to changing priorities.
  • Interest in digital advertising, community relations, social media strategy, or customer experience.
  • You have a driver’s license with a clean record.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Marketing, Social Media, and/or event support a plus.
  • Familiarity with design software, HubSpot, or photo/video editing tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support the creation and implementation of digital marketing campaigns and social media content to drive brand awareness and customer acquisition.
  • Act as a brand ambassador at local events, HOA meetings, and apartment/condo (MDU) activations, representing the company with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Assist in capturing photos, videos, and customer testimonials at community events to amplify brand messaging across social platforms.
  • Manage the logistics of local events, including the set-up and tear-down of event booths and ensuring a polished, organized brand presence.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and graphic designers to produce cohesive and visually impactful materials for digital, print, and local advertising.
  • Distribute hyper-local marketing materials, such as door hangers and yard signs, to directly reach potential customers and enhance brand visibility in target neighborhoods.
  • Support relationships with local businesses, Chambers of Commerce, and property managers to foster community partnerships and generate leads.
  • Help maintain the company website and social media channels, ensuring content is updated, user-friendly, and optimized for engagement.
  • Gather and report real-time customer feedback from the field to the marketing and product teams for continuous improvement.
  • Track and document the effectiveness of promotional activities, including lead generation and expenses, to provide insights for future marketing strategies.
  • Assist with the management and distribution of branded merchandise to promote customer loyalty and company visibility.
  • Work closely with the sales and operations teams to align field marketing efforts with broader business goals and product launches.
