About The Position
Ecco was born as an independent press in 1971, and in 1999 became an imprint of HarperCollins. Today, Ecco publishes literary fiction and general nonfiction to poetry, cookbooks, and literature in translation, by authors including Nobel Laureates, Pulitzer Prize winners, and National Book Award recipients among others, such as José Andrés, Margaret Atwood, Anthony Bourdain, Charles Bukowski, Nicole Chung, Kathleen Collins, Patrick de Witt, Deborah Eisenberg, Louise Glück, Kathleen Hanna, Cristina Henríquez, Juhea Kim, Jonathan Lethem, Imani Perry, Patti Smith, Cynthia D’Aprix Sweeney, Natasha Trethewey, Shelby Van Pelt, and Kevin Wilson.
Requirements
- Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2027 or 2028 are eligible for this internship; open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master’s students, or entry level candidates with up to 1 year of work experience.
- Candidates must be available to work 21 hours per week across 3 or 4 days, from February 8 to April 16, 2027, at the location specified in the job description.

Responsibilities
- Design social media graphics and advertisements using Canva
- Assist in building content for frontlist and backlist social media campaigns
- Brainstorm and generate video content for various social media channels (TikTok, Instagram)
- Research audiences and build influencer lists
- Optimize metadata and marketing copy
- Assemble materials for major sales meetings and award submissions
- Fulfill mailings and giveaways as needed
Benefits
- This internship is compensated at a rate of $18 per hour.
