About The Position

HarperCollins’s William Morrow Group is one of the industry’s premier fiction and nonfiction publishers, home to bestselling and award-winning authors across a variety of genres. We are seeking a savvy, book-loving intern to assist with our publicity and marketing efforts. This internship is ideal for a recent grad or current college student looking to learn about the industry and gain experience.

Requirements

  • Available to work in our NYC office from Monday – Thursday for a total of 28 hours per week, from June 7 – August 12, 2027.
  • Available to work in a full-time capacity in 2027 or 2028
  • Open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master’s students, or entry level candidates with up to 1 year of work experience.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

  • Currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or master’s program.
  • A can-do attitude, love of books, and interest in marketing and publicity
  • Good time management skills, be organized and detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing effectively
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with various social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
  • General internet research skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing administrative support including mailing books, entering data, routing invoices, etc.
  • Assist with the creation of promotional materials like press releases, sell sheets, and giveaway forms
  • Assist with the creation of content and captions for social media
  • Contribute to research projects
  • Assist with outreach to media and social media creators
  • Participate in various staff meetings and give opinions and ideas regarding promotional strategies for our books
  • Attend and listen into various meetings with authors and agents
  • Request specific projects of interest throughout the internship

Benefits

  • Compensation for this internship is $18 per hour.
