About The Position

The HarperCollins Retail Marketing team is seeking a summer intern. The Retail Marketing team is responsible for a wide range of things, including independent bookstore trade shows, liaising with publicity on our events program, managing preorder campaigns, specialized galley mailings, and more.

Requirements

• Must be available to work in our NYC office from Monday – Thursday for a total of 28 hours per week, from June 7 – August 12, 2027.
• Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2027 or 2028 are eligible for this internship.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Ideal candidates are either currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or master’s program.
• A passion for books is highly valued!

Responsibilities

• Works with the Associate Director in the planning and preparation of Children's Institute.
• Executes Indie Next Mailings and Creates Indie Next reminder newsletters.
• Assists Associate Director in Fall Regional Planning and in-house Fall Preview.
• Mails out ARCs and promotional items to Booksellers on an as needed basis.
• Assist in updating internal database of Bookstores and Indie Next information.
