About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and results driven Marketing & Growth Manager who can make sure the entire Kansas City market knows who we are. This newly created, full time position will serve as our primary internal marketing role, working directly with ownership to turn creative ideas, smart advertising, and bold campaigns into more racers, repeat visits, group events, and measurable revenue growth. This is a hands on individual contributor position with no direct reports. The person selected will manage content creation, social media, paid advertising, marketing budgets, email marketing, customer retention, local media, partnerships, community outreach, group event lead generation, and customer communications. Paid advertising and campaign management will be a major focus of this role. This is not an entry level marketing or social media position. We are seeking an accomplished professional who can demonstrate previous results and take ownership of the marketing function with a high level of independence, professionalism, and accountability.

Requirements

Professional experience developing, managing, and optimizing paid advertising campaigns is required
Proven experience managing a marketing budget across multiple digital and traditional advertising channels is required
A professional portfolio with examples of previous content, advertising, email, or campaign work is required
Candidates must be prepared to discuss previous campaigns, approximate budgets managed, strategies used, and measurable results achieved
Strong working knowledge of Google Ads, Meta Ads, campaign targeting, audience development, budget pacing, performance measurement, and campaign optimization
Professional experience filming and editing short form video content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, is required
Professional experience filming and editing short form video content, with proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar professional video editing software, is required
Excellent written communication, copywriting, customer service, and relationship building skills
Strong analytical, organizational, and project management abilities
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and move projects forward without constant direction
Ability to collaborate effectively with ownership, location managers, the Group Events team, staff members, corporate representatives, advertising representatives, and outside vendors
Candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to work regularly at both Kansas City area locations

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a directly related field, such as Advertising or Strategic Communications, with at least five years of professional marketing experience, is strongly preferred
Candidates without a bachelor’s degree will only be considered if they have at least seven years of directly relevant professional experience and can provide clear evidence of successful results achieved for other businesses
Experience evaluating or purchasing traditional and local advertising, including billboards, venue signage, sponsorships, print placements, or similar opportunities, is strongly preferred
Experience with email marketing, customer databases, audience segmentation, and automated campaigns is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and growth strategy focused on increasing Arrive & Drive traffic, repeat visits, customer retention, group event bookings, and overall revenue
Plan, film, edit, and publish engaging social media and advertising content for both locations
Manage local social media accounts, including content calendars, posting schedules, audience engagement, and performance tracking
Develop, manage, and continually optimize paid advertising campaigns across Google, Meta, TikTok, and other relevant platforms
Manage the overall marketing budget and recommend how funds should be allocated across digital advertising, local media, partnerships, and traditional marketing opportunities
Evaluate local advertising opportunities such as billboards, sporting venue signage, sponsorships, print placements, community events, and other forms of local media
Communicate with advertising representatives and vendors, review proposals, negotiate pricing when appropriate, and make informed recommendations to ownership
Develop email marketing campaigns using our existing customer database to promote offers, events, leagues, and other opportunities
Segment customer data and build targeted or automated campaigns designed to encourage repeat visits and reconnect with inactive customers
Work closely with the Group Events team to develop corporate outreach campaigns, generate qualified leads, and increase event bookings
Create sales materials, presentations, promotional content, and other resources that support corporate and group event growth
Identify and develop relationships with local businesses, schools, community organizations, hotels, attractions, sports organizations, and other potential partners
Develop promotions and campaigns around holidays, seasonal opportunities, special events, leagues, and slower business periods
Monitor and respond to messages received through the [email protected] email account, including general customer inquiries and escalated concerns
Help manage the company’s online reputation by monitoring and responding to customer reviews, comments, and social media messages
Maintain Google Business Profiles, local business listings, digital screens, printed signage, and other customer facing marketing materials
Track marketing expenses, advertising performance, website traffic, customer engagement, leads, bookings, and revenue
Prepare regular reports for ownership and provide recommendations based on marketing performance, customer trends, and business results
Maintain consistent branding and ensure that all content and campaigns follow K1 Speed brand standards
Coordinate with outside photographers, videographers, designers, media companies, and other vendors when specialized support is needed
Assist with other marketing, growth, outreach, and customer communication responsibilities as needed
