About The Position

Firefly is building a new standard for safety and security by integrating hardware, software, and AI into a connected system. This system helps teams understand situations and coordinate responses, serving K-12 schools, universities, healthcare organizations, and enterprises. Founded by experienced leaders from Verada and Apple, Firefly aims to fundamentally rethink safety technology.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in B2B growth, demand generation, or performance marketing.
  • At least 3 years of direct experience managing paid media budgets.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Google Ads and LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
  • Ability to quickly learn and evaluate additional marketing channels.
  • Proven track record of generating qualified pipeline, not just impressions, clicks, or MQLs.
  • Strong analytical instincts and experience with conversion tracking, attribution, dashboards, and funnel analysis.
  • Experience developing and executing in-person marketing programs alongside a sales team.
  • Ability to conceptualize ideas, gain buy-in, and drive them through execution.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • An eye for design and a high standard for creative quality.
  • Comfort operating without a predefined playbook and a curiosity to help build one.
  • Willingness to move between analytical work and hands-on execution.
  • A bias towards shipping, learning, and improving.
  • Comfort using AI in daily workflows for research, idea generation, creative iteration, performance analysis, and productivity.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience marketing to K-12, higher education, healthcare, or public-sector buyers.
  • Experience in safety, security, hardware, vertical SaaS, or another complex B2B category.
  • Familiarity with Attio or another modern CRM.
  • Working knowledge of tools like Contentful, Figma, Customer.io.
  • Experience with ABM or named-account programs.

Responsibilities

  • Build the paid acquisition engine, owning channels like Google Search, LinkedIn, YouTube, Meta, and X.
  • Manage budgets, bidding, audiences, and targeting across K-12, higher education, healthcare, and enterprise sectors.
  • Develop and manage a continuous testing program for creative, messaging, audiences, formats, landing pages, and offers.
  • Partner with design and video resources to develop creative assets and write briefs and copy for campaigns.
  • Own conversion tracking, UTMs, and attribution, connecting spend to meetings, opportunities, and pipeline.
  • Report regularly on performance metrics such as CAC, cost per meeting, pipeline, and channel efficiency, and provide investment recommendations.
  • Build systems, reporting, and operating cadences to scale paid acquisition.
  • Identify and test new programs with sales to create or accelerate pipeline, including executive dinners, roundtables, regional briefings, and partnerships.
  • Own field marketing experiments end-to-end, from concept and audience development to execution, follow-up, and measurement.
  • Shape and execute Firefly's trade show presence, including booth experience, meetings, collateral, and lead capture.
  • Ensure clear sales follow-up for all programs and measure their impact on pipeline generation.
  • Continuously explore new channels, formats, and ideas for testing.
  • Support the execution of launches, campaigns, content programs, events, and photo/video shoots.
  • Coordinate creative partners, timelines, assets, and deliverables to ensure project progression.
  • Write and edit campaign copy, emails, social posts, event communications, and other marketing content.
  • Repurpose customer stories, guides, video, research, and other assets across various channels and formats.
  • Support organic social media and other brand and content initiatives as needed.
  • Collaborate across brand, product marketing, sales, creative, web, and PR teams to bring ideas to market.
  • Contribute to other marketing projects as priorities shift, given the small team environment.
